Tryg and Suzanne, Father and Mother of the Bride Father of the Bride: At first I was very apprehensive about hiring wedding coordinators for our daughter’s wedding. After we made the decision, it was by far the most rewarding portion of our experience. They made our life so much easier. We were able to focus on enjoying our family and friends and our daughter’s very special day. I also felt that Travis and Jesse did far more than what they had signed up for. Mother of the Bride: My daughter and I thought that with our event planning experience we would be able to handle planning the wedding easily. After three weeks of trying to find a venue for 300 people, we decided we needed help. When we met Travis and Jesse, we knew they would be perfect. They totally understood our needs, the bride’s style, and our personalities immediately. It was an ideal fit. By the way, they found the perfect venue one week later! They made our wedding experience far less stressful. They both communicated very well and made sure that we had all of the details and timelines along the way. They made the day perfect – in fact we felt like they were a part of our family. We still stay in touch – in fact they had become such a part of our lives the past year that we had Travis and Jesse withdrawals after the big day! Megan & David, Bride and Groom The absolute best decision we made in planning our wedding was hiring True Colors Events.Throughout the planning process, we were so impressed with how well Jesse & Travis understood what we wanted out of our landmark day, and with their enthusiasm, creativity, and energy. Our first meeting with Jesse and Travis turned from an interview to a rapid-fire brainstorming and dreaming session. They listened intently to everything we said. As the planning progressed, they often reminded us of the ideas and priorities we'd emphasized that first day. From finding a location, to setting financial priorities, to executing all the details, they were there every step of the way. They helped us anticipate the many decisions we'd need to make, made sure we had enough time to think them through, and appropriately pressed us make decisions on deadline. And yet, they let us take our time with creative parts of the wedding (like our invitation) that we wanted to do ourselves. Jesse and Travis always advocated on our behalf - if a vendor would question our plans, they were there to explain and elaborate on our vision. They knew exactly why each detail was important to us. Our venue (Benaroya Symphony Hall) was definitely untraditional, as were many of our decisions, but True Colors was behind us all the way. There may not be many brides who want to walk down the aisle to a string-quartet version of "Dancing Queen", or who want cube-shaped wedding cakes, but True Colors made sure these things, and many more, happened, in grand style. They also made sure my husband, an action-flick loving photography teacher, could set up a photo booth for the guests and make his entrance to the James Bond theme song. On the day of the wedding, Jesse and Travis were in constant communication with each of the vendors and important family members, but kept their communication with my husband and me to an absolute minimum. We were able to fully enjoy the day, knowing that True Colors knew the details as well as (or better than) we did. If there were mishaps or mistakes on our wedding day, we never knew about them, and never will. After many a late night meeting with True Colors and a photographer, florist, or musician, we would say, "Thanks Jesse or Travis, for taking the time to come with us." Their response was always, "no thanks are necessary, we love doing this for you guys, and we love our jobs!" Jesse, Travis - we know you love your jobs because it shows. Imagine us, her parents learning that her wedding was going to be IN Seattle! All terrific, except that we, her parents, live in Phoenix. How to plan this glorious Fall wedding for 200 guests, most of them coming from out of town? Our solution-True Colors Events ! From our first meeting with Jesse and Travis, it was clear we were in the hands of seasoned professionals. During the 9 months of planning, True Colors provided regular communication, exceptional follow through, and a calm voice of reason. We were offered a variety of vendors in several price ranges for all parts of the ceremony and reception. They negotiated and checked our contracts. Details of the wedding party attire, floral design, venue decor, music and food were priorities. We were given clear expectations of price expectations and payment due dates. True Colors was available to us at a moment’s notice, and "on call" for us day and night the week of our wedding. Our daughter's wedding was just as she dreamed it would be. I would highly recommend True Colors Events, and felt they made our family wedding experience a stress free and joyous memory. We had some great planning sessions together and they really helped us move outside of the box to create a day that was really special and a perfect fit for Bob and me. All of the pre-planning and forethought really led to a smooth day and allowed for fun and enjoyment for everyone. Bob and I were allowed to enjoy our wedding day, to eat dinner, to listen to the speeches, to greet our guests. I didn't make a single decision that day; Bob wasn't asked to help move a single chair or table. Everything was taken care of by Jesse and Travis and it made for a very magical day, the type of day everyone dreams of. We've had so many compliments from our guests about the beauty and detailed simplicity of our wedding. Most people say it was the best wedding (other than their own) they've ever attended. Jesse and Travis have received rave reviews from all of our attendants and family members. One of our best friends said, "Jesse and Travis positively glowed the entire day. They not only did a wonderful job, but they truly enjoyed your wedding. You could really tell they were having a good time and it infected everyone around them." We couldn't have said it better. Not only have Jesse and Travis blessed us with a beautiful wedding and great memories, they've granted us a new friendship as well.
